KAPIKO is an ethno/world jazz and fusion band operating in Istanbul since 2012. The group gathered around the kaval, a soulful, traditional woodwind instrument from Anatolia and the Balkans.
KAPIKO's debut album, "On Bierli", was released in 2013 (re-release: 2020) and offers a minimalist acoustic exploration of traditional sounds from many different parts of the world. They presented this performance in their homeland Turkey and many European countries with concerts and festival performances.
